Lodge supper

RUMFORD – Blazing Star Lodge 30, AF and AM, will meet for a 6:30 p.m. supper on Wednesday, May 7, followed by a 7:30 meeting. The agenda will include raising dues, changing to Grand Lodge insurance, discussing ways to save money and going dark for the winter. Insurance will be voted on the meeting; the others at a September session. All members should attend.

Class to meet

RUMFORD – The Stephen High School Class of 1955 will meet at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, May 8, at Dick’s Restaurant.

Yates benefit

RUMFORD – “Tateroke,” where everyone is a star, will be featured at the Yates benefit on Saturday, May 10, at the VFW, Waldo Street. The event, to be held from 4 to 9 p.m., will benefit the Yates family, who lost their home to fire. There will be dancing, singing, raffles, food and a trophy. Admission is a $5 donation a person.

Circle to convene

RUMFORD – St. Timothy’s Circle 504, Daughters of Isabella, will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 13, at St. John’s St. Athanasius Church Hall. Committee members are Pat Hopkins, chairwoman, Jackie Parent, Theresa Hodgson and Eva Viens.
