FARMINGTON – Farmington’s Old South First Congregational Church vestry-assembly room will be transformed into a fine dining experience on Saturday, May 17, beginning at 5:30 p.m. with appetizers and punch.
Members of the Window Restoration Committee will on hand to talk about the ongoing restoration project and the history of the stained glass windows. A meal prepared by Stan Wheeler and kitchen crew will include pan-seared pork tenderloin, roasted red potatoes, green beans and carrots with ginger, beverages and cranberry poached pears for dessert. A vegetarian selection will also be offered.
Reservations are required, and tickets are available at $20 each by calling Old South’s Church office at 778-0424 by Saturday, May 10.
Child care will be available with movie and snacks for a donation to the 2009 Franklin Association UCC Honduras Partnership Youth Scholarship Fund.
All are welcome to join the after-dinner entertainment beginning at 7:30 in the church sanctuary.
