The Rev. Jeremiah Wright made an awfully good point when he said, Jesus said to do unto others as you would have others do unto you (the Golden Rule), and then Wright pointed out that the United States has sponsored terrorism all over the world; therefore, the United States shouldn’t be surprised that others perpetrate acts of terrorism against the United States, including the attacks of 9/11.
In fact, the United States has been at the forefront of terror for the last 66 years.
We terrorized cities in Japan and Germany during World War II, using fire bombs and nuclear weapons.
We terrorized population centers during Korea and Vietnam.
We terrorized cities in Iraq during the Gulf War.
We supplied weapons to terrorists in Central America in the 1970s.
We terrorized cities in the Balkans in the 1990s, and we have terrorized cities in Iraq and Afghanistan during the war on terrorism since 2001.
It is the responsibility of each citizen to speak up, tell the truth and criticize our government and military when they have been wrong. In fact, it is un-American not to do so.
Our government’s military has been grossly wrong in many instances for years. Our military industrial complex is an evil that will bring us to grief, and they must be brought under control.
