LEWISTON – A memorial Mass of Christian Burial honoring the life of E. Philip St. Pierre was held Tuesday at St. Patrick’s Church with the Rev. Robert Lariviere celebrating the Mass. Before the Mass, the St. Pierre family received personal greetings of condolence from relatives and friends. Philip’s son, Paul, carried his dad’s urn to the front of the altar, with his sister, Irene carrying Philip’s photograph. Readers were grandchildren, Mary Cote, Shari Cloutier, and James Vallieres. The offertory gifts were presented by grandchildren, Crystal Vallieres, Robert St. Pierre and Kathleen Caron. Words of remembrance were shared by Philip’s daughter, Gloria Vallieres at the conclusion of the Mass. After Mass, the Rev. Lariviere recited committal prayers at St. Peter’s Cemetery. The U.S. Marine Corps honor detail then played taps and presented Philip’s burial flag to Philip’s son Gerard St. Pierre. Philip’s son, Phil, then thanked those in attendance for joining the family in celebrating his dad’s life and for their kind thoughts and prayers.
