AUBURN – Gertrude M. Clark, 85, of Hotel Road, died Wednesday, May 7, at The Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice.

She was born in Kingman, on March 31, 1923, a daughter to the late Solomon and Lottie (Hatch) Briggs. She devoted her life to raising her children and later worked for herself cleaning homes and most recently assisted in taking care of the elderly for the past 20 years.

She enjoyed playing bingo, NASCAR racing and watching wrestling on TV.

She leaves a daughter, Jeannette Bazinet of Auburn; a son, Stanley G. Clark and his wife, Joey Lee, of Nashua, N.H.; a sister, Lucindi Shepard of Rutland, Vt., a brother, Lorris Briggs of Kingman; four grandchildren, Shawn Bazinet of Lewiston, Shelly Groves of Dallas, Ga., Stephanie Bazinet of Auburn and Danielle Muskiewicz of Merrimack, N.H.; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a son-in-law, Jack Bazinet; eight brothers; eight sisters; and a very dear friend, Grace Bilodeau.
