LEWISTON – The work of young artists is on display at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center’s Lobby Gallery. The artists are part of Lewiston Housing Authority’s Hillview Family Development. They range in age from 6 to 18. The work includes primarily prisma color pencils and scratch boards.

The display is a portion of LHA’s Youth Enrichment Opportunity Program. Other classes and activities include music, crafts, computer, Bates homework help and Girl Scouts.

The programming at the Hillview focuses on providing venues and activities for children that enhance their self-esteem and confidence through the arts. Teacher Sissi Ventrone plays a role in the development in the skills.

The paintings will be available for sale during the annual YEOP Art Show on Tuesday, May 13, at Hillview. For more information regarding the sale of the painting or the display at St. Mary’s, contact Ventrone at 783-3429.
