I am sick of seeing the Sun Journal drag Jim Raymond’s name through the mud, most recently the articles on the Wal-Mart “incident,” which was purely speculation on the part of the police officer.
The next time I’m in Wal-Mart, I’ll be careful not to browse from one department to the next lest I be pegged as a suspicious character.
The last I checked, this was still America, where a person is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Give the guy his day in court. Cover the trial, but leave him alone until then.
There are actually those of us who know a very different Jim Raymond than the monster the Sun Journal portrays – a kind person, an accomplished musician and a good teacher.
Since the articles have already turned the tide of public opinion against him, it will be a wonder if he even gets a fair jury trial.
The police can do their job of surveillance just fine without the media sensationalizing everything.
