BALTIMORE, Md. – Robert J. Clark, 73, of Brunswick, beloved father, grandfather and brother, died on May 5, in Maryland. He was returning home from Florida, after attending his eldest granddaughter’s college graduation.
Bob was born in Jersey City, N.J., and raised his family in Somerville, N.J., and in Lisbon. Thereafter, he lived in Hilton Head, S.C., New Orleans, La., Tarpon Springs, Fla., and Ajijic, Jalisco, Mexico, before moving to Brunswick.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps, and was a member of the Hawthorne Caballeros Drum & Bugle Corps. He owned advertising firms in Somerville and Lisbon. He was a fine artist and caricaturist. His passions were watching his grandchildren grow in all their activities, and cooking.
He is survived by his daughter, Debra Leppla, of Florida; four sons, Robert of Lisbon, Scott of Augusta, Donald of Cape Elizabeth and Douglas of New Jersey; three grandchildren, Kara Pirolo of Florida, and Donald and Kathryn Clark, of Cape Elizabeth; his brothers, Bill Clark of New Jersey, and Jack Clark of Texas; and many nieces and nephews.
