OXFORD – Tractor Supply Co., the nation’s largest retail farm and ranch store, is planning to open a store in Oxford.

A plan has been submitted to the town office proposing a 19,097-square-foot store with an adjacent 20,000-square-foot drive-through garden area. There are 66 designated spaces for parking.

The store will be located on Route 26 between Bolsters Monumental and Great Scott! Storage near Wal-Mart. About two years ago, the company considered a location in the former Porteous store in the Auburn Mall.

Representatives of Tractor Supply are expected to appear at a special Planning Board meeting May 29 to submit a formal site review application.
