Local band Sparks the Rescue will perform Saturday, May 24, as part of Rave ‘n Rage 2008 at the Androscoggin Bank Colisee in Lewiston. The band with ties to Poland will play in place of Radiation Year, which had a scheduling conflict. Sparks the Rescue just finished recording its first full-length album with Jon Wyman in Portland for Double Blind Records. It’s scheduled to be released nationwide in the fall. The rock band won Best Rock Act in the Portland Phoenix Best Music Poll of 2008.
