Billions of people use the Internet every day, thinking they are safe. But how safe are they?
There are a growing amount of Internet hackers in the United States. I believe it is like this because it is so easy to get away with spamming. Every day, thousands of people all over the world get their identities stolen. I believe security on home computers should be mandatory.
Hackers nowadays are accessing personal computers instead of company computers, according to Cnet.com. I think that there needs to be a tracking device on company computers to scan files and trash everything once in a while.
If a person commits a regular scam or creates a virus, the consequences are just loss of their computer. I think the laws need to be more fierce than that. If a criminal gets their computer taken away, they could go on a friend’s computer.
If it involves the government, there should definitely be some serious consequences. The government should say it has approved software before you download it.
I have once had my computer hacked and it was a huge hassle. No one wants that to happen. The Internet seems like a horrible place, but it can be used as a good thing, too, as long as we take precautions.
