Auburn- Juliette Lousie Ledger, 77, of Roak Block, Auburn, died suddenly on May 9.

She was born in Lewiston, on Sept. 3, 1930, the daughter of Alexander and Bernadette (Routhier) Dechene. She was a graduate of Edward Little High School, class of 1948.

She was a sales associate for Porteous, Mitchell & Braun in Portland, and Ward Brothers in Lewiston. Nursing was her passion.

She worked in Waterville, Portland and Lewiston, then retired from D’Youville Pavillon in 1997, after 21 years of service as a med technician.

She loved life, cooking and listening to jazz. She was especially fond of the ocean vacations at Old Orchard Beach with her beloved granddaughter, Michelle.

She was a member of Horizon 55, and a communicant of St. Patrick’s Church in Lewiston.

She is survived by her son Michael and his wife, Elena; her daughter Katherine; her much loved granddaughter, Michelle Marie Ledger, the “great joy of her life”; her only brother, Alex and his wife, Muriel Dechene; her loving nieces, Annette Roy and Sue Bement; and her former husband, Cliff Ledger.

She loved her family and will be deeply missed by those whose lives she touched.
