Dear Sun Spots: I and many other people are wondering when the Village Inn will be open. I called Auburn officials; no one had any information. The Village Inn had very good food, and the service was excellent. I wonder if someone is trying to force them out of business. It is a good area, not everyone wants to go to the mall.

Auburn seems to be more interested in the mall than downtown. It is not safe for elderly people to drive there. In my younger days Auburn was a city of homes and small business. It is sad to see them slowly closing. Please try and find out about Village Inn. – L.W., No Town.

Dear Sun Spots: Recently you gave a number to call to get the cost of the certificates for the Village Inn in Auburn. I have $100 in two certificates as Christmas gifts. And I hate to have my children just throw away $100. I will miss the restaurant very much. Thank you. – Anna, Turner.

Answer: According to a similar Sun Spots inquiry on April 7, 2008, Sun Spots spoke with Belinda Vallee, who says although she can’t give an exact date, they will definitely be back! Although they were hoping to reopen this spring, they are waiting for everything to fall into place and as soon as it does, they’ll be back in business. We’ll keep you informed as we learn more, the Village Inn is missed by many of our readers.

Also, hang on to your gift certificates and be prepared to use them at the newly renovated restaurant when it reopens.

Dear Sun Spots: Awhile ago on a TV station there was an ad stating that if you had an accident on a Honda ATV there was a number to call to get a lawyer. Could you please print the address and number of the lawyer to call? Thank you. – No Name, No Town.

Answer:
Sun Spots is not aware of the exact ad you are referring to, but hope this helps. According to the Web site of Pritzker, Ruohonen & Associates, PA, Honda conducted a voluntary recall for about 24,000 Honda Model Year 2005 and 2006 TRX400EX ATVs. A safety defect could exist in the transmission that could allow the rider to unintentionally engage reverse gear while moving forward, which could lock the rear wheels and cause the rider to lose control. Contact Fred Pritzker for a free consultation if you have been injured in an accident involving the Honda ATV. You may call toll-free at 1-888-377-8900, e-mail [email protected], or fill in an online, attorney-consultation form.
