ENGLEWOOD, Fla., – Michael Ralph Shink, 50, of Englewood, Fla., and formerly of Jay, passed away on Jan. 2, after a short, but courageous battle with throat cancer.

He was born on March 8, 1957, in Farmington, to Bernard and Pauline (Beaulieu) Shink. He attended Jay schools.

At the time of his death, he was employed as a custom kitchen cabinet builder for a local RV dealer.

He leaves behind his dad and stepmom, Bernard and Gladys Shink of Jay; his wife, Sue, daughter Torie and stepson Nick, of Englewood, Fla.; daughters, Melissa and Michelle; and four grandchildren of Freedom; siblings, Linda Desjardins and partner, Steve Farrington, of Rumford, Derek Shink and partner, Claire Despres, Tracey Doiron and partner, Neil Tuttle, all of Jay; stepsister Lynda Terry and husband, Dan, of New Hampshire; stepbrother Bruce Crosby of Dixfield; nephews and niece, Jay and Chris Becker, Aron Shink, Trevor and Mallory Doiron; great-nephew Devin Becker; great-niece Elizabeth Hewins; aunt and godmother, Lorine Ryder of Falmouth;, aunts and uncles, Bob and Winnie Shink and Marcel and Maurie Shink, all of Jay; uncle and godfather, Cecil Ryder Jr. of Yarmouth; and many wonderful Shink cousins and their families.

He was predeceased by his mother, Pauline Shink; grandparents, Francois and Rose Shink, and Ralph and Florence Beaulieu; and nephew, Derek Shink Jr.
