Grange anniversary

EAST DIXFIELD – Mystic Valley Grange 313, Routes 2 and 17, will celebrate its 116th anniversary on Saturday, May 17, at an open house and brunch from 10:30 a.m. to noon.

A community service award for the R.S. Osgood and Sons family will be presented by Jim Owens, State Grange master, followed by a speaker from Fieldstone Gardens of Vassalboro. An open meeting at 1 p.m. will follow.

Proceeds from a bake sale and white elephant table will benefit the Mystic Valley Grange treasury. Everyone is welcome.

Grange supper

NORTH JAY – North Jay Grange 10 will have a public supper from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, June 7. Menu includes baked beans, casseroles, salads, dessert and beverages. Cost is adults $6 and children 10 and under $3. For more information, call 645-4628, 645-2910 or 645-2217.

Parade entries

JAY – Anyone interested in being in the Memorial Day parade line-up should call Normand Chabot at 897-5003 before Monday, May 19. That includes floats, horses, carts and wagons, antiques cars and trucks, veterans and active duty service people.
