LEWISTON – Mary Elaine Warren, 85, resident of Bolster Heights Health Care Facility in Auburn, died Sunday, May 11, at Center Maine Medical Center.

She was born Aug. 10, 1922, in Lewiston, the daughter of Arthur and Mary Goff Woodhead. She was a graduate of Lewiston High School in 1940, and a graduate of Bliss Business College in 1943.

She also received her bachelor of science degree in education from the University of Maine, Orono in 1959. She was a business education teacher at Morse High School, Bath, at the time of her retirement in 1979.

Mary, known by family and friends as Elaine, married Lt. Richard N. Warren Feb. 10, 1945. Together they lived in various parts of the United States until his death in 1950.

She is survived by a cousin, Michael Goff and wife, Julie, of Auburn; and life long friend, Mrs. Sylvia Pihl of Lewiston.

She was predeceased by her husband, Richard; her parents; and her sister, Patricia Lynch in 1980.
