Dear Sun Spots: Can you tell me if Vanna White ever remarried after her first marriage broke up? Where and who are the two children with? And where are they living? Thanks for your information. I read the column everyday. – C.G., Lewiston.

Answer: According to biographical information from answers.com and the Wheel Of Fortune Web site, Vanna White has not remarried since her divorce from George Santo Pietro, her husband of 11 years, in November 2002. Their son, Nicholas, was born in 1994 and daughter Giovanna in 1997. White maintains custody of the children and resides with them in Southern California. From 2004 to 2006, she was engaged to businessman Michael Kaye.

She was born Feb. 18, 1957, in North Myrtle Beach, S.C., as Vanna Marie Rosich. She eventually took the name of her stepfather, Herbert Stackley White Jr. Her first episode as Pat Sajak’s regular assistant on “Wheel of Fortune” aired Dec. 13, 1982. However, her first national television appearance came on the June 20, 1980, episode of the “The Price Is Right” game show, in which she was among the first four contestants. She did not make it on stage.

In 1992, White was recognized in “The Guinness Book of World Records” as “Television’s Most Frequent Clapper.” Averaging 720 claps per episode, she puts her hands together more than 28,000 times per season.

Dear Sun Spots: The Paris Veterans Monument Committee has been most fortunate in receiving information about the original Honor Roll, honoring World War II veterans, which was placed in Moore Park in 1944. We are now inquiring to see if someone may have pictures of the Honor Roll that they are willing to share with us. If so, please contact me at 743-5677. We will be most appreciative of any pictures or information that you are able to share. – Barbara Payne, South Paris.

Dear Sun Spots: I work for a nonprofit organization and do in-home support with adults. With the cost of groceries skyrocketing, our consumers have a difficult time to afford any other necessities. I currently have a client who is desperately in need of clothing. The problem is he is very large and cannot find anything at local clothes closets. He needs pants and shirts size 8x. If there is anyone out there who can help, it would be greatly appreciated. You can reach me at 784-0458 or 713-0049. Ask for Linda. Thanks and God bless, Sun Spots. – Linda, Lewiston.
