WATERFORD – Applications for “Operation Back to School” have been distributed to elementary school students in town.

This is Santa’s second year of offering assistance to families who live in Waterford and have students who will enter grades kindergarten to 12 in the fall. If funds permit, the organization hopes to provide a backpack, supplies, sneakers and an outfit for each child.

Applications are available at Waterford Memorial School and at the town hall. June 15 is the deadline for submission. Those who would like to contribute to the program should mail donations to Waterford Santa, PO Box 298, Waterford, ME 04088. For more information, call 583-6677.
