TURNER – SAD 52 River Valley Adult and Community Education of Turner, Leeds and Greene is offering classes for spring.
A one-day workshop on reptiles and amphibians will be held Saturday, May 24, for children in grades kindergarten through three. They will make arts and crafts, watch videos and meet live creatures.
A new class will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 27, titled “Building Blocks for Lifelong Learning.” Parents will learn the basic building blocks for lifelong health and how ease it is to incorporate the habits into daily lives. Smart tips for getting kids involved and exited about nutrition, food preparation and cooking will be offered.
“Sick and Tired” will be held on Tuesday, June 10, and will offer ideas on stress management and re-energizing the body, helping feel younger and more vivacious. Fatigue as a symptom of serious health problems will be discussed. Learn how to recognize the difference between day-to-day fatigue and that which may indicate something more critical.
“Goddess Within” will be offered on Wednesday, May 28. The one-night workshop is a guided meditation designed to help the seeker tap into the universal energy. Bring water, a pillow, blanket or mat to the class.
