LEWISTON – Lucie I. Dumont, 91, formerly of 2 Sylvan Ave., Lewiston, passed away at Marshwood Healthcare Facility on Thursday, May 15, following a long illness.

Born in Lewiston on Aug. 27, 1916, the daughter of Eugene F. Pelletier and Hermine T. Ouellette Pelletier, she received her education in the Lewiston school system.

She married Albert J. Dumont on Oct. 9, 1939. He died on Oct. 3, 1991.

She was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. She also enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A member of Saints Peter and Paul Church, she also belonged to the Ladies of St. Anne, Covenant 50, and was a member of the Lewiston Senior Citizens.

Her hobbies were reading, knitting and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by four children, two daughters, Claudette L. Erickson and her husband, George, of Santa Fe, N.M., and Jacqueline A. Lessard and her husband, Phillip, of Florida and Lewiston; two sons, Richard A. Dumont and his wife, Suzanne, of Lewiston, and Louis G. Dumont and his wife, Anne, also of Lewiston; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Besides her husband of 52 years, she was predeceased by two brothers, Roland H. Pelletier and Fernand A. Pelletier and their wives.
