DURHAM – A Lisbon woman sustained minor scrapes from shattered glass in a near head-on collision on Route 136 Thursday afternoon.

Police said Tiffany Clarke, 34, was driving north, rounding a curve when she became distracted and crossed into the opposite lane. The bumper of an approaching truck driven by Michael Lacasse, 55, of Durham struck the outside rearview mirror of Clarke’s 2002 Volkswagen and shattered it, Maine State Trooper Mike Chavez said.

He estimated damage to Clarke’s Volkswagen at $900 and damage to Lacasse’s 1999 Dodge pickup at $300.
