Seniors to meet
AUBURN – The First Auburn Seniors will meet at the Hasty Community Center on Wednesday, May 21. A memorial service, under the direction of Lucy Cowles and Pat Donohue, will honor deceased members.
The board of directors will meet at 10 a.m. and the regular meeting will follow at 11. Meal tickets for $4 will be on sale for the spaghetti dinner on Wednesday, June 18. The monthly raffle will be held. Winners of the pot of gold at the anniversary dinner on May 7 were Dodi Juneau, Lorraine Marcous, Andre Gaisson, Clare Haskell, Leone Ford, Betty Hebert, Ginny Gagnon, Dick Brushwein, Pat Donohue and June Bowman.
To confer degree
WALES – Webster Lodge 164, AF and AM, will hold a special communication at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 22, to confer the Master Mason Degree on two candidates.
The meeting will be held at the Wales Grange and Masonic Hall, 322 Centre Road. A casserole supper will be served in the dining hall at 6:3.
All regular Master Masons are welcome.
Board to meet
LEWISTON – The CDS-Androscoggin County Governing Board will meet from 8:15 to 10:15 a.m. Thursday, May 22, at Child Development Services, 1567 Lisbon St.
All interested parents and community providers are welcome.

MECHANIC FALLS – The Ladies’ Guild at Our Lady of Ransom/St. Mary’s Church will hold its annual “Rent A Table” yard sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 14, at the parish hall on Elm Street.

Tables are $15 each or two for $25. A light breakfast and lunch will be served.
Morning rides
LISBON – Morning bike rides will be held every Monday, Wednesday and Friday before work from 6 to 7:30 a.m. and on the weekends from 7 to 9 a.m. Meet at the Beaver Park kiosk and ride in the Lisbon area.
Both mountain bike and road bike riders are welcome. For more information and to sign up, call Verla Brooks at 353-9075. The rides are free.
Plant sale
LEWISTON – The Androscoggin Valley Soil and Water Conservation District is conducting its annual native conservation plant sale, and the proceeds will be used for district programming.
All orders must be received and paid for by Tuesday, May 27. The district is offering a variety of perennials, ferns, groundcovers, trees, shrubs and fruit bearing plants.

Bridge winners
LEWISTON – The Lewiston-Auburn Duplicate Bridge Club met on May 13 at the Multi-Purpose Center. Flight A winners were: first, Luke Merry and Mike Quinn; tied at second, Doug and Betty Sise with Leslie Buzzell and Claire Lyons; fourth, Richard Balian and Richard Allen. Flight B winners were: first, Doug and Betty Sise; second, Richard Balian and Richard Allen. Another game will be played at 9 a.m. Tuesday, May 20, at the center.
The club also met on May 14 at Schooner Estates in Auburn. Winners in Flight A were: first, Fred Letourneau and Stan Mathieu; second, Leslie Buzzell and John Hackett; third, Patricia Garcia and Martine Begert; fourth, Luke Merry and Rosemarie Goodwin. Flight B winners were Alberta Turner and Lucille Bilodeau.
Another game will be played at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 21, at Schooner Estates. A partner is guaranteed at both games. For a partner or more information, call Lucille Theriault at 783-0431.
