MEXICO – The River Valley Farmers Market will begin another new year of offering fresh produce and homemade foodstuffs Friday.
The weekly event is scheduled to run every Friday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 23 to mid-October at the Labonville parking lot. Labonville is near the end of Veterans Bridge.
The first few weeks will focus on vegetable seedlings, maple syrup, breads and other baked goods, candy, eggs, meats, greens, herbs and flowers.
Selections will vary from week to week. As each vegetable comes into season, one or more of the dozen or so participating farmers will offer it at the site.
