Sunnyvale, Calif. – Max M. Baumer, 57, passed on Saturday, May 17, with his family and friend at his side after a courageous battle with cancer.
Max was born in Lisbon Falls, to Reinhold A. and Ernestine Baumer.
He graduated from Lisbon High School and attended Andover Business School in Portland.
He has been a resident of California for 38 years.
He was an accomplished guitarist and loved playing lead and rhythm in the band “Slate.” He enjoyed his vacations back to Maine and the yearly family trip to Shaw’s Wharf for lobster and steamed clams.
He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
He leaves behind his brother, John Baumer and wife, Pauline; sister, Joanne Huston and husband, Gary; niece, Karen Gagne and husband, Peter; great niece, Lauren Gagne and fiancee, Jason Hebert; aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was predeceased by his parents, Reinhold and Ernestine Baumer; maternal grandmother and paternal grandparents.
