PARIS – The Paris Department of Parks and Recreation has lined up a slate of musicians for the 2008 Moore Park Summer Entertainment Series of eight Wednesday evening musical events.
The Department of Parks and Recreation will also offer acts for the young and young at heart Wednesday mornings. There will be magic, mime, storytelling, science and the playground.
The concert schedule is as follows with kids’ shows at 10 a.m. and family shows at 6 p.m.: June 25, Present Company family show; July 2, Rick Adam and Soft Touch; July 16, Traveling Children’s Theater and Bel Airs; July 23, Mad Science and Denny Breau; July 30, the Little Red Wagon Tour and Mahoosuc Community Band; Aug. 6, Rick Charette and Delta Knights; Aug. 13, Sidecar Heroes and Port City Jazz; Aug. 20, Dan Grady and the Parisians.
All events will be held at Moore Park, unless otherwise indicated (with rain location at the Paris Fire Hall, Western Avenue, unless otherwise indicated). Admission is free and the programs are open to the public. Those attending concerts are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket.
Guests are welcome to pack a picnic, too. Large groups from daycare centers, nursing homes and/or other organizations are encouraged to attend. For more information, contact Deb Partridge, director of Parks and Recreation, 743-2501.
