GREENWOOD, S.C. – Charles Wesley “Charlie” Dysart, 78, of 108 Mabrey Court, Augusta Fields, Greenwood, S.C., husband of Arlene Reed Dysart, died Monday, May 19, at Hospice House.
Charlie was born April 30, 1930, in Topsham, a son of the late Charles Wesley Dysart Sr. and Inez Jackson Dysart. He was retired from Monsanto and served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the American Legion Post 20 and Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.
Surviving are his wife of the home; four sons, Jimmy Dysart of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Steven Dysart, Jeffrey Dysart and his wife, Cindy, and Scott Dysart and his wife, Lynn, all of Greenwood, S.C.; three sisters, Hanorah Tompson of Harpswell, Sadie Lowe of North Augusta, S.C., and Julia Gardner of Gray; a brother, John Dysart of Brunswick; five grandchildren, Katie Dysart, Hunter Dysart, Lindsay Dysart, Cody Dysart and Stacey Gantt; two grandsons-in-law, Zeb Gantt and T. J. Grayson; and two great-grandchildren, Keira Grayson and Camden Gantt.
