MILFORD (AP) – A federal government mobile disaster recovery center will move through Penobscot County beginning Monday to assist individuals and business owners who were hurt by the floods in late April.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency will operate the mobile center from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. by rotating between the Milford Town Hall and the East Millinocket public safety building.
The recovery center is staffed with recovery specialists from FEMA, the Maine Emergency Management Agency, voluntary agencies and the U.S. Small Business Administration.
The center will be in Milford on Monday and Tuesday, and again on Friday and Saturday and on May 28 and 29. It will be in East Millinocket Wednesday and Thursday, May 26th and 27, and May 30th and 31.
