AUGUSTA – Dennis Haszko, BSEE, JD, a registered patent agent, has joined the law firm of Eaton Peabody and will offer patent services through a newly formed subsidiary, Eaton Peabody Patent Group LLC.
His practice focuses on patent application, preparation, and negotiation in the areas of electromechanical, electrical, electronic and computer-related inventions. He will join Jonathan Huntington in providing intellectual property assistance to Eaton Peabody clients from the firm’s Augusta office.
Haszko comes to Eaton Peabody with 18 years of patent law experience. Most recently, he has been engaged in solo practice in Farmington. Prior to that, he practiced for six years in Ottawa, Ontario, where he served as in-house patent counsel for Nortel Networks and as patent department manager for Shapiro Cohen.
Previously, Haszko spent five years as a patent examiner for the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, where he received awards for outstanding performance, productivity and special achievements.
Haszko is a registered patent agent in the United States and Canada. He received a law degree from the Franklin Pierce Law Center in 1998 and a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from Ohio University.
