AUBURN – Fox Ridge Golf Club hasn’t been stingy with holes-in-one this spring. The course yielded two more aces in the last five days.

Leo Girr carded the astonishing fifth hole-in-one his golf career Monday during a Maine Seniors tournament. It came on the 178-yard No. 16 with Jim Totten, Ralph DeAngelis and Al MacVicar looking on.

The occasion was more of a novelty for Roger Pettengill, who celebrated his first hole-in-one last Wednesday. Pettengill used a 5-wood to produce his gem on the 154-yard No. 3. Lou Sciana, Bill Mitchell and Dean Lamphear were his playing partners.
