SOUTH PARIS – Matt Nyholm notched a hat trick and had three assists as Edward Little beat Oxford Hills, 7-3, in boys’ lacrosse Tuesday.

Aaron Gould chipped in with a pair of goals, while Tom Lynch and Isaiah Rembert each scored a goal a piece for the Eddies’ (2-6) win.

Shawn O’Leary scored all three of the Oxford Hills’ (0-8) goals with assists from Dana Aube and Colin Tucker.

Oak Hill 12, Gardiner 3

GARDINER – Tyler Pomerleau led all players with six goals as Oak Hill recorded a 12-3 win over Gardiner in boys’ lacrosse Tuesday.

Jake Girard contributed a pair of goals and three assists, while Nick Brown tallied two goals as well.

Drew Jannelle and Tony Battaso rounded out the scoring effort for the Raiders (7-2), whose solid defense was led by Tyler Michaud, Tyler Wells, and Matt Averill.

The Tigers (4-5) goals were netted by Kory Peckham, Jake Acheson, and Bobby Johnson.

Baseball

Richmond 9, Rangeley 6

RANGELEY – Bruce Carver blasted out a two-run homer to lead Richmond to a 9-6 win over Rangeley in a baseball contest Tuesday.

Carver finished the contest with three hits, while Sam Carter and Josh Brown each hit doubles for Richmond. Nick Woods earned the win.

Kent Madeira smacked a triple and Ben Bliss hit a double for Rangeley.

Bangor 13, Mt. Blue 0

FARMINGTON – Shane Walton smacked a solo home run in the sixth inning as Bangor blanked Mt. Blue 13-0.

Chad Kelly hit a triple and two doubles, while Kyle Savage added both a double and a triple for the Bangor (10-2). Ryan Laroche contributed with a double as well.

Bobby Duley hit a double for Mt. Blue (2-10).

Girls’ lacrosse

Lewiston 9, Messalonskee 5

OAKLAND – Amie Daniels, Andrea Dibello, and Kristen D’Eramo each tallied a pair of goals a piece as Lewiston notched a 9-5 win over Messalonskee in a girls’ lacrosse matchup.

Lysa Laverdiere, Michelle Rancourt, and Shelby Turcotte rounded out the scoring for the Blue Devils.

For Messalonskee, Miranda Tinsman netted two goals.

Hilary Flynn, Abbey Stacey, and Ali Omsberg each scored one a piece in the effort.

Softball

Richmond 12, Rangeley 2

RANGELEY – Shelby Hurley smacked a two-run double as Richmond beat Rangeley 12-2 Tuesday in a softball game.

Amy Russell earned the win on the mound and helped her own cause with two hits for Richmond, while Nicole Tuttle and Hurley each had a pair of hits as well.

Karissa Allen and Carina Pathiakis each hit RBI singles for Rangeley.

Bangor 15, Mt. Blue 1

FARMINGTON – Amy Hackett and Kate Freudenberger each hit doubles as Bangor overpowered Mt. Blue, 15-1, on Tuesday afternoon.

The lone Mt. Blue run was scored by Moria Rowe, while Amelia Allen and Hannah Allen had the only hits for the Cougars.
