Writers celebrated at library
NORWAY – The Celebration of the Short Story at Norway Memorial Library concluded on May 3, with the reading of four stories selected from entries in a short story writing contest.
The contest garnered entries from writers in the towns of Bridgton, Buckfield, Greenwood, Harrison, Newry, Norway, South Paris, Stow, Waterford and West Paris and ages spanned approximately 60 years.
The stories chosen and read by their author at the event were “Wheel of Fortune” by Amy Chapman of Greenwood, “Payback” by Jennifer Dupree of Harrison, “On the Road to Damascus” by Katherine Greenleaf of Norway and “The Bed” by Andrew Scott Turner of South Paris.
All programs in the Celebration of the Short Story were made possible by a grant from the Stephen and Tabitha King Foundation.
