Dana Gross of Portland will be returning to She Doesn’t Like Guthries on Friday, May 23. The Portland Phoenix describes Dana’s sound as being, “Part of Portland’s old-timey roots revival, with veins of Delta blues, folk revival, and Bob Dylan. Gross works his guitar and harmonica behind a raspy and inviting lead vocal to tell country tales and woo country women.” Come enjoy the down-to-earth, honest perfomance of an extraordinary Maine musician. The Berwicks will be performing live on Saturday, May 24. The band is comprised of Greg Boardman on fiddle, and his two sons, Aiden on guitar, and Ethan on drums. The Berwicks’ folk/bluegrass sound is upbeat, playful and inspiring as the family trio performs traditional forms of music with modern influences. Come enjoy local, homegrown music in a family-friendly environment. Both shows start at 8 p.m. There is no cover and the kitchen is open.
