AUBURN – Francis H. “Macky” Gauthier, 56, a resident of 124 South Main St., Auburn, died peacefully Monday, May 19, at his residence, with his family by his side.
He was born in Lewiston, May 6, 1952, the son of Richard and Elizabeth (Divine) Gauthier. He attended Lewiston schools and was a 1972 graduate of Gray-New Gloucester High School.
After his education, he served with the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Conflict. He later was employed in the local shoe industry until his disability. He enjoyed boxing, traveling, movies and music.
Survivors include one son, Austin Gauthier of Lewiston; three brothers, James Gauthier, Sheldon Gauthier and his wife, Laura, all of Lewiston and Timothy Gauthier of Portland; one sister-in-law, Judy Emond of Sabattus; a special niece and caregivers, Theresa Pepin and her husband, Roger, with whom he resided, as well as Donna Sawyer; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by four sisters; and three brothers.
