MINOT – West Minot Grange 42 held its first open house recently, with a special invitation to area businesses and residents.

More than 20 businesses had displays, such as photo albums, storyboards, business cards, service pamphlets, sample items, photo collages, special costumes and gourmet food items.

The grange purchased 100 flyers, and most of them were given to Minot and Hebron residents.

The supper menu included four kinds of sandwiches, three varieties of baked beans, pasta, meat and vegetable salad, fancy cookies, cakes, doughnuts, Italian bread, brown bread, corn chowder and beverages.

Another open house will be held next April, Grange Month, allowing more lead time for promotion.
