AUBURN – Joseph A. Janosco, 80, of High Street, Lisbon Falls, died Wednesday, May 21, at The Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice, with his family at his side.

He was born in Lisbon Falls, in the house he still lives in, on Feb. 6, 1928, a son to the late Andrew and Susan (Topolosky) Janosco. Joe was educated in Lisbon schools and later served his country in the U.S. Air Force during World War II.

He married the love of his life, Patricia Sparks on Nov. 1, 1958. He worked for Worumbo Mill until they closed and went on to become a finish carpenter, a job he truly enjoyed and took great pride in. He was a member of Holy Trinity Parish, Covenant 50 and Horizon 55. He loved the outdoors, he was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He leaves his wife of 49 years, Patricia, of Lisbon Falls; a daughter, Joline Rider and her husband, David, of Lisbon Falls; a sister, Francis Merrill of Durham; a brother, John Janosco and his wife, Irma, of Sabattus; many nieces and nephews; and his cat Taffy, and his pet rabbit Autumn.

He was predeceased by two brothers, Andrew and Michael Janosco; and four sisters, Margaret Hall, Anna Bartlett, Mary Janec and Elizabeth Williams.
