LEWISTON – Androscoggin Valley Soil and Water Conservation District Office Manger Jane Heikkinen has announced the district’s native conservation plant sale has been extended one week.

Orders must be received by 4 p.m. Monday, June 2.

The proceeds will be used to cover the costs of the conservation district’s programming.

The district is offering a selection of native perennials, ferns, groundcovers, trees and shrubs.

Heikkinen said, “Citizens can enjoy coming to the district for the 2008 native conservation plant sale. This year’s list is available at our Web site, www.androscogginswcd.net., on the fundraiser page. For a copy to be mailed to you, call Jane Heikkinen at 753-9400, ext 400. The pick-up date will be June 13 and 14 in the parking lot of the USDA Service Center at 254 Goddard Road in Lewiston.”
