AUBURN – Sophomore students at St. Dominic Regional High School recently took charge of their learning in religion class in innovative ways.
Students were given choices of the format in which they could produce their fourth-quarter project relating to the New Testament. Choices ranged from the standard term paper, to a travelogue, to a PowerPoint presentation or to more conventional presentations.
Alexandra Landry created a questions-and-answers game poster based on the New Testament gospels.
Each of the four evangelists was a column category and Landry added one more column that included a mix of gospel-related questions. She coded each column so that it showed up brightly in its unique color as it lay fixed to a vivid green background.
The questions were researched and organized to reflect the degree of difficulty their point level suggested.
Landry’s classmates agreed that this was a fun and effective way of reviewing the material on the New Testament that had been covered this semester.
