WILTON – Police Chief Dennis Brown is looking for people who would like to help around the police department, he said Wednesday.
Volunteers are needed to help in a variety of ways, including serving on an oral hiring board that reviews candidates applying for employment or helping with other programs that are starting, including school programs, he said.
Citizen volunteers will also be used this year to help with the Blueberry Festival. He wants to place people within the crowds to provide information for spectators, he said.
A firm believer in community involvement with the police department, Brown said he was pleased with the turnout at recent meet and greets. An open house at the public safety building is being planned for June.
Anyone who would like to participate in any of these activities is welcome to call Brown at 645-3876.
