AUBURN – Yvonne R. Bordeau, 85, of Marshwood Residential Care, Lewiston, died Wednesday, May 21, at the Androscoggin Hospice House.

She was born in Lewiston, on Aug. 31, 1922, a daughter of Alfred and Bertha (Blondin) Drouin. She attended local schools and then went on to work at the local shoe shops as a top stitcher until her retirement from Knapp Shoe in 1979.

She was a member of Holy Family Church and enjoyed crocheting, knitting and bowling. In her later years, she enjoyed ceramics, and playing cards and trips to Foxwoods.

She is survived by a sister, Dora Garneau of Lewiston; many nieces and nephews; and a special friend and caregiver, Felcia Graham.

She was predeceased by her husband, Laurence in 1989; brothers, Leo and Alfred; and her sisters, Stella and Jeannette.

Her family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Maple View at Marshwood Residential Care for the love and care of Yvonne.
