Lodge to meet
AUBURN – Tranquil Lodge 29, AF and AM, will confer the Entered Apprentice Degree on two candidates at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 28, at the Auburn Masonic Hall, 1021 Turner St. Refreshments will be served after the meeting. All Master Masons are welcome.
Marines meeting
AUBURN – The Marine Corps League’s Central Maine Detachment will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 29, at the New Auburn American Legion Post 153, 71 South Main St., New Auburn.
Commandant Richard McGuinness will talk on what has taken place recently and what the future will hold. Dates will be set to continue training as a Marine color guard unit, which will attend military funerals.
Seeds to be given
SABATTUS – The Rural Community Action Ministry’s Gardening Services will distribute seeds from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday, June 2, at the Sabattus Town Office. Bridge results
LEWISTON – The Lewiston-Auburn Duplicate Bridge Club met on May 20 at the Multi-Purpose Center. Flight A winners were: first, Richard Balian and Dick Allen; second, Michael Quinn and Luke Merry; third, Janet Arey and Linda Leotsakes; fourth, Fred Letourneau and Rosemarie Goodwin; fifth, David Lock and Claire Lyons.
Flight B winners were: first, Richard Balian and Dick Allen; second, Janice Wolfe and Cynthia Bonsey. Another game will be played at 9 a.m. Tuesday, May 27, at the center.
The club also met on May 21 at Schooner Estates in Auburn. Winners in Flight A were: first, Richard Balian and Anna Vitiello; second, Mike and Pat Quinn; third, Fred Letourneau and Stan Mathieu; fourth, David Lock and Martine Begert.
Flight B winners were Helen Little and Anita Perrier. Another game will be played at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 28. A partner is guaranteed at both games. For a partner or information, call Lucille Theriault at 783-0431.
