LEWISTON – Christina “Chris” B. Goff, 37, a resident of Welch Avenue, Monmouth, died Wednesday, May 21, at Central Maine Medical Center, after a long, hard fought battle with Hodgkins lymphoma.

She was born in Lewiston, April 17, 1971, the third daughter of Forrest “Buzz” and Donna Fayle Yates of Leeds. She was a graduate of Leavitt High School in 1989; she also attended USM for two years.

She had been employed by the Augusta Country Club, CMP and LaPointe Industries. Because of her love for children, she opened her own day care in 2003; she loved working with children.

She loved spending time with her family and friends. She was a devoted and caring mother to her boys, whom she loved dearly. She was thrilled to win four tickets to a Boston Red Sox game for her family, and was so excited that she and her boys (husband and two sons) were able to take a dream vacation to Florida, which included a trip to Disneyland.

Chris was a talented and creative artist and writer. She had a wonderful sense of humor that kept everybody laughing. She loved animals and through the years, she gave a home to a horse, iguana, hamsters, gerbils, parakeets and many dogs.

She will be dearly missed by her husband of 16 years, Eric Goff; her two sons, Brandon and Dylon; her parents, Forrest and Donna Yates of Leeds; two sisters, Lisa Fisher and her husband, Craig, of Monmouth and Cheryl Smith of Leeds; two nieces, Chelsea Smith and Kaeti Butterfield; her in-laws, Frederick “Ted” and Patricia Goff of Monmouth; sister-in-law, Tanya Richmond and her husband, Stewart, of Bedford, N.H.; two nephews and a niece, Samuel, Caleb and Hannah Richmond; grandmother, Mildred Goff of Union; and aunts, uncles and cousins.
