NORTH JAY – A Mass of Christian Burial for Mildred M. “Millie” Oldham was held Tuesday morning, May 20, from St. Rose of Lima Church, Jay, with the Rev. Al Jacques officiating. A family prayer service followed at the Wiles Remembrance Center, 42 Weld St., Dixfield.
Readings were recited by Theresa Fraser, and Sharon Gates served as a eucharistic minister. Pallbearers were Tyler Gates, Scotty Oldham, Roger Couture, Todd Couture, Josh Roy, Mike Wells and Wiliam Gates.
The Resurrection Choir was under the direction of Therese Therrien and included special hymns, “Ave Maria,” “Beyond the Sunset” and contemporary selections, “The Wind Beneath My Wings” and “There You’ll Be,” by Faith Hill. Her daughter, Tanya Jordan, delivered a personal eulogy.
Following Mass, a family reception was held at the Parish Hall and committal services were conducted by Rhonda Wiles at St. John Cemetery, Rumford.
