FARMINGTON – Registrations are being accepted for a standard first aid course being offered from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 3, at Franklin Memorial Hospital’s Chisholm Room.
The course will follow the standards and guidelines for first aid from the American Heart Association. Topics will include first aid basics, medical emergencies, injury emergencies and environmental emergencies.
There is a $45 fee for the course, which includes the cost of a textbook.

Women’s program
LIVERMORE FALLS – The Western Mountain Women’s Connection will present “The Magic of Photography” with Cindy Rehagen Langewisch at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 3, during brunch at Treat Memorial Library, 56 Main St.
Speaker will be Glorious Ford on “To Plan or Not to Plan.”

Pastors leaving
WILTON – A farewell open house will be held from 2:30 to 5 p.m. Saturday, June 7, at the Wilton United Methodist Church to honor the Rev. Desmond and Mary Parker and Pastor Elizabeth Bailey-Mitchell.
The Rev. Parker, who lives in Augusta, has been the pastor of the Wilton United Methodist Church for two years. He is retiring.
Bailey-Mitchell has pastored the North Jay Methodist Church for two years and is leaving to pastor a small church in Piscataquis County.
Both pastors will leave their current positions at the end of June.
Everyone is invited and snacks and beverages will be provided.
Museum breakfast
RANGELEY – The Wilhelm Reich Museum will host a community breakfast at 7 a.m. Wednesday, June 4, at the museum conference center on Dodge Pond Road. All are welcome.

WOWS to meet
RUMFORD – Widows Or Widowers Sharing will meet at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 29, in Fellowship Hall, Rumford United Methodist Church, Linnell Street.
Speakers will be Warner and Dee Holman on their trip to the Panama Canal.
Snacks will be provided by Evelyn Arbor, Peggy Welch and Barbara Morse.

RUMFORD – The Strathglass Property Owners Association will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 7, in the public room of Rumford Public Library. Members are expected to vote on a permanent slate of officers and proposed bylaws.
