RUMFORD – Marie S. Gallant, 74, of Middle Avenue, Mexico, died on Saturday, May 24, at the Rumford Hospital.

She was born in Rumford, on Sept. 27, 1933, a daughter of Louis and Jennie (Tambourino) Simboli, and graduated from Stephen’s High School, Rumford, class of 1951.

She was a communicant of St. Athanasius and St. John Church. She enjoyed going to Foxwoods with her sister Carol, cooking and spending time with her family.

Survivors include two daughters, Donna Jamison and husband, David, of Freeport and Shelley Mercier of Biddeford; a sister, Carol Bellegarde and husband, Reginald, of Rumford; and two grandsons, Corey Jamison of Freeport, and Ryan Jamison and his companion, Becky Horr, of Kingston, N.H.
