FARMINGDALE, N.Y. (AP) – A man and his young daughter were trapped in a Long Island amusement ride for about 20 minutes before they were rescued by the fire department.

Officials say the two were in a virtual-reality flight simulator at Fun Zone Amusements in Farmingdale.

Both father and daughter were trapped either upside down or in a reclining position. The girl was agitated, but no one was hurt in the Monday incident. Officials say the girl is 12 or younger.

Manager Glenn Taus says the fire department was called in as a precaution but everyone was all right.
