BANGOR (AP) – The Maine Gambling Control Board will be taking a tour this week of the Hollywood Slots Hotel and Raceway complex in Bangor in advance of its July 1 grand opening.

The board, which normally meets in Augusta, will convene Wednesday at the Bangor Civic Center. During its time in Bangor, the panel will be able to check out the nearby gaming facility that will feature 1,000 slot machines. It will also provide simulcasting for patrons who prefer to bet on horse races.

Hollywood Slots plans to close its interim slots parlor on June 29 and complete the move to the new complex within 24 hours.

The 152-room hotel is scheduled to open in August.
