SOUTHWEST HARBOR – Peter H. Harris, 67, a resident of Ellsworth for the last 20 years, entered into rest on May 19.

He was born in Brockton, Mass., Jan. 5, 1941, a son of the late Irving and Muriel (Rolfe) Harris. He was at peace with his life and enjoyed everyday to the fullest. He will be greatly missed by everyone who was lucky enough to know him.

He loved spending time with his family and friends and he enjoyed being outside and loved the beauty of Maine. A house painter by trade, he took exceptional pride in his labor and his strong work ethic. He will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by all those who were lucky enough to have known him.

He was a loving father of Dawn Harris of Lewiston; cherished grandfather of Tiffani Beale and her husband, Andy, and Jonathan Harris of Lewiston; beloved brother of Lynda Alden of Boston, Mass., and Kimberly Harris of Whitman, Mass.; several nieces and nephews; and devoted friend to Walter and Robert Murphy, Robert Latchaw, Jeannie Smith, Lois Lovely, Linda Kincaid and Peggy Geaney, “Peter’s angels.”

He was predeceased by brothers, William and Philip Harris; his sister, Sandra Harris; and niece, Lisa Alden.
