TOGUS – Andrew E. Tremblay, 50, of 518 Turner St., Auburn, died peacefully on Sunday, May 25, at the VA Hospital, with his family by his side after a brief illness.
He was born in Lewiston, on July 26, 1957, the son of Henry T. and Theresa R. (St. Pierre) Tremblay and had been a resident of this community all of his life.
He was employed as a carpenter in the union for many years until his retirement. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in Germany. He was a member of the Pastime Club.
He enjoyed gardening, taking trips to the ocean with his family, watching football, NASCAR racing and family gatherings.
He had an exceptional personality, was a very caring person and patriotic. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by the love of his life, his fiancee, Lori Thompson of Auburn; three sons, Thomas Ogden, Alex Tremblay and Keith Tremblay, all of Auburn; eight brothers, Robert Tremblay and his wife, Theresa, of Lewiston, Richard Tremblay of Cape Coral, Fla., Marcel Tremblay and his wife, Sandy, of Turner, Donald Tremblay of Lewiston, Michael Tremblay and his wife, Nancy, of Sabattus, Paul Tremblay of Auburn, Denis Tremblay and his wife, Erica, of Sabattus and Timothy Tremblay and his wife, Dawn, of Colorado; three sisters, Patricia Robichaud of Greene, Linda Tardif and her husband, Daniel, of Sabattus and Jacqueline Tremblay of Lewiston; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents; and a brother, John Tremblay.
The family would like to thank the staff at the VA Hospital in Togus for the excellent care they have given to Andrew during his illness.
