SCARBOROUGH – Barbara A. Nasoni, 57, of Biddeford, passed away early Tuesday, May 27, after a long battle with brain cancer at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House.
She was born on Aug. 17, 1950, in Lewiston, a daughter of Cora Boisvert Donohue and Roger Boisvert.
She was employed by the Maine Department of Health and Human Services for 27 years, retiring in 2005.
She loved to cook. During retirement, she ran a café at the DHHS building on Marginal Way in Portland.
She volunteered making meals for the soup kitchen at Most Holy Trinity Church in Saco.
She loved children and enjoyed spending time with her many nieces and nephews.
She leaves behind her loving partner of 25 years, Margaret Kelley Pizzo of Biddeford; her stepdaughter, Kristin J. Pizzo of Providence, R.I.; one sister, Linda Leclair and her husband, Donald, of Lewiston; four brothers, Daniel Boisvert and his wife, Gail, of Lewiston, Gerry Boisvert and his wife, Rose, of Florida, Michael Boisvert and wife, Connie, of Sabattus and Kenny Boisvert of Florida; she is also survived by Margaret’s loving family, Carol Westmoreland and her husband, Wayne, of Louisiana, Richard Kelley and his wife, Sharon, of Windham, Patricia Saunders and her husband, Vern, of Windham, Edward Kelley and his wife, Carolyn, of Cape Elizabeth, Michael Kelley and his wife, Laurie, of South Portland, Elizabeth DeMatteis and her husband, Don, of Florida, and Joseph Kelley and his wife, Alice, of South Portland; and many nieces and nephews.
