Members of the Leeds Historical Society will celebrate Flag Day at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 14, at the Leeds Community Church. There will be homemade goodies and coffee while those attending learn about the origins of Flag Day, the original idea to have a flag on Monument Hill, the work that has been done so far, fundraising efforts to erect a flagpole on the hill and how to contribute. Leeds commemorative stoneware can be ordered. After the program a family hike will be held to the monument from the historic trail which starts behind the church.
